In February 2009, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), commonly referred to as the “Economic Stimulus” or “Economic Recovery” bill, was signed into law. The following December, Equipment Data Associates (EDA), a division of Randall-Reilly Publishing Company and an aggregator of Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, announced the development of RECOVERY - the nation’s exclusive data source that combines UCC data and project details associated with the (ARRA).

The combination of these data sources helps subscribers instantly locate the contractors who have received award funds and analyze their known fleet of equipment using an intuitive interface. As of March 5 2010, EDA has published 8,993 contract awards issued to 5,404 construction contractors. EDA knows the complete UCC history associated with 2,570 or 48% of those contractors. Gaining access to this insight provides EDA customers with an unfair advantage for prospecting a targeted group of contractors throughout the U.S.
